JECI & ISAJ ink MOU for Stronger India-Japan Education and Research Ties


India-Japan Educational and Scientific Partnership Advances with MOU Signing of Japan Education Center and Information (JECI) and Indian Scientists Association in Japan (ISAJ) on June 18, 2024. Capt. Raj Adhikary, President & CEO of JECI, and Dr. Sunil Kaul, Chairperson of ISAJ, marked this significant milestone with their signatures.


This partnership underscores the deepening collaboration between India and Japan in education and science, aiming to promote educational and cultural exchanges between the two nations. Notably, the Ambassador of India to Japan, Shri Sibi George, serves as the Honorary Patron of ISAJ.


As bilateral cooperation in Science and Technology between India and Japan strengthens, this MOU opens exciting opportunities for Indian students to study in Japan and for researchers to collaborate with Japanese institutions. Recognizing the evolving landscape, JECI and ISAJ formalized this agreement to enhance interaction among Indian students and researchers in Japan, as well as foster collaboration between Indian and Japanese researchers.


The MOU outlines several key initiatives:


- Providing lectures, workshops, and insights on educational opportunities in Japan

- Promoting mutual understanding, academic exchange, and scientific cooperation

- Offering career guidance and insights into science and technology opportunities

- Sharing knowledge on cutting-edge research and innovations in Japan

- Facilitating research development, scientific cooperation, and cultural exchange

- Creating networking opportunities with experienced scientists and researchers

- Promoting a deeper understanding of the global scientific community


Capt. Raj Adhikary expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting its role in fostering deeper understanding and cooperation between India and Japan, enabling students to explore academic and career opportunities while promoting global citizenship and international cooperation.
