JICA's Role in Strengthening India-Japan Cooperation in the India's Northeast

The Northeast region of India stands at the crossroads of Japan’s Free and Open Indo-Pacific vision and India’s “Act East” and “Neighborhood First” policies, making it a focal point for strategic collaboration between the two nations. The India-Japan Intellectual Conclave, organized by Asian Confluence, serves as the premier forum where leaders and experts from business, government, and academia in India, Japan, and neighboring countries come together to engage in meaningful discussions and foster connections.

JICA’s initiatives have become increasingly significant in addressing key developmental challenges in the Northeast of India.

At KIZUNA 2025, the India-Japan Intellectual Conclave in Guwahati, TAKEUCHI Takuro, Chief Representative of JICA India, shared his insights on the organization's role in driving positive change and development in the region, with Japancalling.in
