New Delhi, India, July 8, 2024 – The Embassy of Japan in India just announced the commencement of the "Click! Japan Photo Contest 2025," inviting photographers from across India to showcase their unique perspectives and experiences of Japan.
This initiative celebrates the rich cultural ties between India and Japan, offering a platform for Indian travelers to share the captivating moments they have captured in Japan.
Why the Embassy Conducts The Japan Photo Contest:
The "Click! Japan Photo Contest" aims to deepen the cultural connections between Japan and India by encouraging participants to capture and share the beauty and charm of Japan. By showcasing these photographs, the contest fosters a greater understanding and appreciation of Japan's rich heritage, diverse landscapes, and vibrant culture among the Indian public. It also provides a creative outlet for amateur photographers to express their experiences and impressions of Japan, further strengthening the bonds between the two countries.
Contest Details:
Eligibility:
The contest is exclusively open to Indian citizens who have traveled to Japan between March 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025.
Participants should be back in India by 1st April 2025
Participants must be amateur photographers.
All entries must be original photographs taken in Japan during the specified period.
Theme And Submission Guidelines:
The theme for this year's contest is "Charms of Japan that you would like to introduce to your family and friends," encompassing a wide range of subjects including landscapes, food, architecture, everyday life, and sacred sites.
Each participant can submit a minimum of one and a maximum of two photographs.
Photos can be in color or black and white, with post-capture editing allowed.
Entries must be submitted via the Google form provided here from July 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025.
Evaluation And Prizes:
The judging committee will evaluate the photographs based on expressiveness and originality.
The top 10 entries will be showcased in a photo exhibition at the Japan Foundation, New Delhi Gallery in mid-April 2025.
Winners will be invited to a prize ceremony at the Embassy of Japan, where they will receive awards and photo albums of their works.
Special awards will be given to outstanding works by Canon, JAL, and ANA.
